Babar Azam top T20I player rankings

Lahore, January 29, 2018 (PPI-OT):Pakistan batsman Babar Azam has topped the MRF Tyres ICC Player Rankings for T20I Batsmen, following the conclusion of their series which the 2009 ICC World Twenty20 champions won 2-1. Babar was rewarded for finishing as the leading run-scorer in the series (109 runs) with a rise of 11 places that has put him on top for the first time. He now leads Australia’s Aaron Finch (784 points) by two points. Babar is the second Pakistan batsman to top the T20I rankings after Misbah-ul-Haq, who had climbed to number-one spot in 2009. Wellington, January 20, 2018 (PPI-OT):Pakistan Tour Management Committee, consisting of Team Manager, Talat Ali, Head Coach, Mickey Arthur and Captain, Sarfraz Ahmed, held a meeting with Pakistan Team Physiotherapist, Vib Singh and Shoaib Malik to discuss his participation in the upcoming 3 match T20I series against New Zealand starting from 22 January. The committee reviewed the expert advice it received from the top medical consultants in New Zealand after conducting all necessary medical tests of Shoaib Malik has decided, after briefing PCB management, to send him back from New Zealand.
