India fully qualifies to be declared rogue state

Srinagar, October 20, 2020 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, 14 months have passed since rogue India abrogated Kashmir-specific Article 370 of its constitution.

An analytical report released by Kashmir Media Service, today, says that undermining the integrity of Jammu and Kashmir through bifurcating it into two so-called union territories, destroying its Muslim majority status through issuance of domicile certificates to outsiders and destroying its economy through putting it into crippling military siege were among the main objectives of the revocation of IIOJK’s special status by fascist Modi led Indian government on August 5, 2019.

The report maintained that rogue India imposed the world’s longest military siege, which has entered its 15 month in IIOJK, to accomplish the above said objectives. ”The IIOJK has been first bifurcated and then every district has been divided into 14 further parts, over 1.8 million certificates have been issued while an economic loss of worth $ 6 billion has been incurred during the past 14 months to advance the RSS-BJP agenda swiftly,” the report added.
The report stressed that India, which fully qualifies the status of a rogue state under Modi, is using every brutal tactic to subdue the Kashmiri people. It also criticized the world major powers for turning a blind eye to Indian atrocities in IIOJK because of their economic interests.

It cited UN resolutions on Kashmir and said that India had violated UN and Geneva conventions by revoking the special status of the disputed territory.

Narendra Modi-led BJP govt’s ideology is hate-driven and India is a rogue state, the report said and urged the world to show solidarity with the Kashmiris by boycotting Indian products.

India flouting international law in IIOJK: Firdous

Srinagar, October 20, 2020 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, All Parties Hurriyat Conference leader and Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Political Movement, Khawaja Firdous, has said that India in violation of international law is changing the demography of Jammu and Kashmir.

Khawaja Firdous in a statement issued in Srinagar said that since August 5 last year, India has been violating international law by providing domicile certificates to a large number of non-Kashmiris. He said that under the black laws, the Indian Army not only brutally kills innocent Kashmiri youth on a daily basis but also subjects them to torture in detention centers.

The APHC leader paid rich tributes to the Kashmiri youth who were martyred by the Indian troops and urged India to immediately release the illegally detained Hurriyat leaders and activists. He said that the Kashmiri people were offering unprecedented sacrifices for their inalienable right to self-determination and he called on local and international human rights organizations to speak up against the atrocities committed by the Indian troops in the occupied territory.

Khawaja Firdous said that India was using brutal tactics to suppress the freedom struggle of Kashmiris nd warned that lasting peace and security in the region would remain a distant dream unless the Kashmir issue was resolved in accordance with the UN resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.

The Hurriyat leaders appealed to the international community and the UN to play their role in resolving the Kashmir dispute.

Indian Muslims face existential threat as BJP gives the nod to CAA

New Delhi, October 20, 2020 (PPI-OT):Existential threat looming large on the horizon for Muslims in India as Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President JP Nadda has made it clear that the controversial anti-Muslim law, Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), will be implemented ‘very soon’.

Addressing a rally in Siliguri, West Bengal, Nadda said that the party was committed to implementing CAA.

“Due to COVID-19 pandemic, implementation of CAA got delayed. But as the situation is slowing improving, work has started and rules are now being framed. It (CAA) will be implemented very soon,” he added.

Indian Home Ministry had earlier in August told a parliamentary standing committee that it would need three more months to frame Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) rules.

The Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019 was passed by the Parliament on December 11, 2019 amid countrywide protests. The controversial law seeks to confer citizenship, grants citizenship to Hindus, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhist, Jains and Parsis but not Muslims who had arrived in India before December 31, 2014.

Those who closely watching RSS backed BJP government in India say the legislation poses a grave threat to the very existence of the Muslims in India.

Talks with all stakeholders not witch-hunt way forward, India told

Srinagar, October 20, 2020 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the newly formed People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration has strongly condemned the summoning of Dr Farooq Abdullah by Delhi-run Enforcement Directorate (ED) advising the Modi-led fascist Indian government to desist from politics of witch-hunting and intimidation and initiate dialogue with all stakeholders to address the deepening uncertainty in the disputed territory.

In a statement issued in Srinagar, the alliance termed it a part of vindictive politics practiced by the Indian government to kill dissent and disagreement and in present case to silence the genuine demand for reversal of unilateral and unconstitutional decisions of 5th August 2019 and restoration of special status of Jammu and Kashmir as it was on 4th August 2019.

The Alliance made it clear to the Modi regime that such tactics were not to dampen the will of people of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh to have the constitutional status realised.

It said that unnerved by the unity amongst the people across all the regions and communities to pursue the goals of Gupkar Declaration and the support extended to it by political parties and civil society groups, the Indian government was resorting to a game of witch-hunt and suppression. It urged India to realise the dangers in this process of witch-hunting and intimidation and desist from such vindictive designs.

“Dialogue with all stakeholders remains the only option to address the deepening uncertainty in Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh,” it concluded.

Modi regime seals English daily’s Srinagar office

Srinagar, October 20, 2020 (PPI-OT):In Indian Illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the authorities sealed the office of a prominent daily English news papers in Srinagar.

The Delhi-run Estates Department sealed the office of newspaper ‘Kashmir Times’ at Press Enclave in the city, officials said. They, however, gave no reasons for the action.

Headquartered in Jammu, the English daily is published from both the regions of the territory. The newspaper owners said that no notice was served on them and “nothing in writing” was given to them.

“Our office in Srinagar was locked without any due process of law. No notice – whether of cancellation or eviction – was served to us,” Kashmir Times owner Anuradha Bhasin told media men.

Bhasin termed the move as vendetta against her for speaking out against the Modi-led fascist Indian government and moving the Supreme Court against media restrictions in IIOJK after the Indian government abrogated Article 370 in August last year.

“The day I went to court last year, that very day, the government advertisements to Kashmir Times were stopped.

AJK President reiterates call for tripartite talks on Kashmir issue under UN supervision

Islamabad, October 20, 2020 (PPI-OT):Azad Jammu and Kashmir President Sardar Masood Khan has reiterated his call for tripartite talks on Kashmir issue under UN supervision.

In an interview, he said as a matter of principle, talks with India should be held only under the UN auspices, and side by side with Pakistan and India, presence of Kashmiris on the negotiations table is a must.

Masood Khan said India has always used the bogey of bilateral talks to consolidate its illegal occupation of Kashmir and to keep the United Nations and Kashmiris out of the negotiation process.

He said the UN supervision of the talks is essential to carry forward and implement the Security Council resolutions on Kashmir.
