BMG, KCCI Leadership express grief on demise of SM Muneer

Bizenjo attends ceremony of handing army command to COAS Gen Asim Munir

QUETTA: Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo attended the ceremony of handing over the command of the army to Chief of Army Staff, General Syed Asim Munir on Tuesday. According to a statement issued by the Chief Minister’s Secretariat here on Tuesday, Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo attended the ceremony of handing over the command of the army to Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi. CM Bizenjo also called on Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir and felicitated him on assuming the command of Pak-Army. He expressed his wishes for the success of General Asim Munir.

Nepra reduces power tariff by 32 paisas per unit

ISLAMABAD: National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) informed on Tuesday that it has approved a reduction of 32 paisas per unit in power tariff. The power regulatory entity approved the 32 paisa decrease in the power rate in terms of fuel adjustment for the month of October 2022. According to Nepra authorities, due to merit order violation, an extra burden to the tune of Rs300.36 million was added. It further informed new rate will not be applied to life-line and K-Electric consumers.

Pakistan receives $500mln from AIIB

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has received five hundred million dollars ($500-million) from Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB). In a tweet on Tuesday, the Ministry of Finance said the funds are deposited with State Bank of Pakistan and will augment our reserves.

Ambassador-designate, President Japan-Pakistan Association discuss bilateral ties

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s ambassador-designate to Japan Raza Bashir Tarar received Mr Shun Imaizumi, President Japan-Pakistan Association at the Embassy of Pakistan, Tokyo on Tuesday. The Ambassador-designate thanked Mr Imaizumi and highlighted close friendly relations between Pakistan and Japan. Moreover, bilateral ties, cooperation in the fields of business and industry and the situation arising out of recent floods in Pakistan were discussed. According to a press release, while commending the good work of the Association, the Ambassador-designate underlined the need for adding more substance and breadth to the very important relationship between Pakistan and Japan. Pakistan, Luxembourg hold inaugural round of bilateral political consultations
